Event guest finding their photos in a private mobile gallery

SalgoYo brings together event photos and lets each guest use a selfie to find only the images in which they appear. It works directly in the browser, with no app to install.

The problem it solves

After an event, photos are usually scattered across phones, chats and photographers. SalgoYo provides one place to upload, find and download them, with a public or private gallery depending on the occasion.

For guests and organisers

The organiser prepares the event and shares its QR code. Guests contribute photos and browse the gallery from their phones. When facial search is enabled, a selfie helps each person locate only the images in which they appear.

I designed SalgoYo for weddings, celebrations, sports events, graduations and company gatherings, balancing a simple guest experience with the control organisers need.

Behind the product

How I build it

SalgoYo is a complete product that I build and operate end to end. The work spans the guest and organiser experience, commercial management, and the platform that keeps the service available.

Product and operations

The same platform connects booking, event preparation, payments, invoicing, and gallery management. Sensitive processes, such as issuing invoices or permanently retiring an event, include human review and visible progress states.

Automated platform

The application runs on AWS and Kubernetes. Infrastructure and deployments are managed as code through GitOps, traceable releases, and recovery mechanisms that let the product evolve without constant manual operations.

Security and privacy

Galleries can be private, access is controlled, and facial search is optional. Images and related data follow retention and deletion cycles defined for each event.

Reliability

Operations include monitoring, backups, automated cleanup, and checks before changes are released. The goal is to keep the technology in the background and make the experience straightforward for organisers and participants.
